We were in Bordeaux, France on June 16-17 last week to attend the 6th EEL Congress. Our founding president Prof. Engin Oral, the president of our association Prof. Taner Usta, Prof. Ahmet Kale and the young doctors of our association, Ezgi Darici, Goknur Topcu and Nilufer Cimsit Kemahli also participated. In addition, Prof. Engin Oral and Prof. Taner Usta attended the executive board and advisory board meetings. Prof. Engin Oral gave a speech on “Should We Request AMH for All Endometriosis Patients?”. In addition, in a poster area where the abstracts of articles written by many professors and young doctors who are members of our association are displayed. Some of the displayed posters were “Turkish Validation of Endometriosis Health Profile-30 (EHP-30), Measuring the level of knowledge about menstrual health and endometriosis in young women in Turkey, Differences in intensity and quality of bowel symptoms in patients with colorectal endometriosis: a case-control study, Rates of severe complications in patients undergoing colorectal surgery for deep endometriosis – a retrospective multicenter observational study, Exome sequencing identifies two novel variants causing endometriosis in a family with multiple affected members and Different segmental resection techniques and surgical outcomes in patients with colorectal endometriosis: a comprehensive review of the literature”.
This scientific congress was notable as it was also one of the first congresses with an international platform that we took a break during the pandemic period. We have remembered once again the value of exchanging ideas with many foreign professors and colleagues.
Apart from being scientific, the unity and solidarity of the members of our association and the young group in the congress was also quite remarkable. As Turkish Endometriosis Adenomyosis family, we wish to attend many congresses together.
