The 3rd European Congress of Endometriosis (Europian Endometriosis League) will be held on 17-19 November 2016 in Budapest / Hungary. At the European Endometriosis Congress, Endometriosis will give a scientific contribution by conducting a special session in the Adenomyosis Society.
Wish our congress will be helpful to all my colleagues and patients in the meeting.
Andrew Horne from England and Ludovico Muzzi from Italy gave speeches at the session where he was very active.
7th National Reproduction Endocrinology and Infertility Congress was held in Antalya between 17-20 November 2016. On the first day of congress a special session was held by the Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Society.
International Participatory VI. The Neural Therapy Congress was held in Istanbul on June 2-5.
The chairman of the Congress was the President of Scientific Neural Therapy Association (BNR) and IFMANT II. The president, Prof. Dr. Hussein Nazlikul, while the co-chairman of IFMANT Head Gynecologist Dr. Wolfgang Ortner. Pınar Yalçın represented us with her speeches and presentations in this congress.

In the diagnosis, evaluation, medical and surgical treatment of endometriosis, it is aimed to determine a basic approach for practical applications by preparing a guideline according to current literature.
Purpose: In the diagnosis, evaluation, medical and surgical treatment of endometriosis, it is aimed to determine a basic approach for practical applications by preparing a guideline according to current literature.
Materials and Methods: Members of Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Association and the guideline preparation board consisting of lecturers and physicians who have practical and academic experience on the subject have examined the related literature. It has been tried to finalize the guide by coming together three times in six months.
Results: The guideline format is based on providing the descriptive information in current literature in the context of referrals and afterwards presenting the recommendations of the guideline preparation board and quality of evidence for related questions. GRADE system was used for evidence quality and recommendation.
Conclusion: This guide is prepared to help good clinical practice in the diagnosis and management of endometriosis The physician gives the final decision on clinical practice. As the guidelines are prepared based on clinical and scientific literature, information may show a change in the course of the literature to be published afterwards.

The meeting titled “Controversies in Endometriosis and Adenomyosis‘” was organized jointly by the European Society of Endocrinology and Embryology (ESHRE) and the Turkish Society of Endometriosis & Adenomyosis and was held at the Shangri-La Bosphorus Hotel in Istanbul on 26-28 February.
Istanbul has hosted this important meeting organized by our society for the first time on behalf of Turkey.
Valuable international and local scientists, who are regarded as authors in Europe in the field of endometriosis, shared with us their valuable experiences in this field in Istanbul.
The meeting which was chaired by Prof.Dr. Engin ORAL, the president of our association, was held for three days with a large audience.
Experiences of endometriosis and adenomyosis , medical and surgical treatments, infertility and follow-up processes were discussed at different sessions.
2015 October Endometriosis Preceptorship İstanbul In October, Endometriosis Preceptorship Training Program was held by Bayer Turk Pharmaceutical Company in Istanbul. The course was held for the first time outside of Germany in Turkey. About %75 of participants were the physicians coming from abroad.

Turkish gynecologist Dr. Tamer Seçkin, founder of the American Endometriosis Society in the United States, said that endometriosis, a common condition in women, must be removed from the taboo.
In his speech at the 61st session of the Commission on the Status of Women of the United Nations (EC) Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) on the topic of “Fight Against Endometriozis: A Charter for the Strengthening of Women” organized by the European Union (UN) Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), he pointed out that the disease is endometriosis and he emphasized the importance of raising people consciousness.
Seeking to attach importance to the education of young people especially for this, Seçkin said that endometriosis should be removed from being a taboo.

One of the USA’s well-known doctors on endometriosis, Seçkin is also the founder of the American Endometriosis Foundation (EFA). Accepted as one of the world’s leading names in the field of laparoscopic surgery, there are many famous names in the world of art and cinema among his patients. He brings together leading figures in the world of cinema and arts at the Blossom Gala every year in the USA to combat endometriosis through EFA, established with the distinguished, Indian-born Padma Lakshmi.
Endometriosis is seen in 10 out of every 15 to 49 year-olds in the world. Approximately 180 million world-wide, more than 1 million women in Turkey suffer from the disease. The disease that causes the endometrium tissue in the uterus to settle in other tissues in the abdominal cavity is manifested by complaints such as painful sexual intercourse, indigestion, constipation, abdominal pain, painful menstruation or menstrual irregularity.
The gynecologist doctor Farr Nezhat mentioned at the same meeting;
” The menstruation is normal, but especially stressed that pain is not normal.”
As a result of the interview, Endometriosis has become an endemic process and the whole world has been dealt with what can be done in this regard.
An educational and informative meeting on endometriosis (chocolate cyst) was held in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Health and Sanitation Department Women and Health Center on 27th of February, 2015 for Ob&Gyn Staff education.
It was stated in the meeting by Assoc. Prof. Banu Kumbak Aygün that, chocolate cysts which affect one in every ten women, were an important cause of abdominal and pelvic pain especially in young women and recently seen more often. Twenty instructors participated in the meeting interactively. It was emphasized that awareness of healthcare providers about early diagnosis of chocolate cyst should be increased.
