Turkish Republic Ministry of Health Istanbul Public Health Directorate Child, Adolescent, Women’s and Reproductive Health Services Unit (ÇEKÜSH) was established, on Thursday, November 30, 2017
with the participation of 200 family physicians in the in-service training as Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Association. We talked about “Endometriosis- Chronic Pelvic Pain- Dismenore”. As an association, we emphasized that severe menstrual pain should not be considered as normal, that there may be endometriosis disease underneath, and that delaying the onset of the disease can be avoided by increasing the public awareness of the endometriosis disease. It was a very fruitful meeting with questions from primary physicians. Istanbul Public Health Directorate offered our thanks to the education officers. As an association, we will continue our efforts to raise awareness about endometriosis disease in the community.
The member of the Board of Directors of our Association. Prof. Dr. Engin Oral made a speech and directed a panel at the 6 th Asian Endometriosis Congress in Iran Shiraz. Former board member of the association Prof. Dr. Kutay Biberoğlu also made a speech and joined the panel.
Our doctors ran 10km on behalf of our Association in Istanbul Eurasia Marathon held on November 12, 2017 to raise awareness of Endometriosis and Adenomyosis disease.
(WES) The World Endometriosis Society held its fifth workshop in San Antonio, USA, in October, with 36 organizations specialized in endometriosis. Member of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Engin Oral is with the team focusing on the workshop on this picture.
The Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Association was in Bursa 4th Eker I Road Run on 8 October 2017. In our stand, which stands out with its pink color, brochures telling what endometriosis is, specialist doctors answer the participants’ questions; what the symptoms of the disease are, and the information needed for early diagnosis are shared with the participants.
One of the 10 females in the reproductive age suffering from this disease, which manifests itself with symptoms such as painful sexual intercourse and infertility and develops with the proliferation of the tissue lining the uterus in the other parts of the body. In order to increase the awareness of the disease during running, physicians and runners supporting us joined the run by wearing a yellow ribbon, which is the symbol of Endometriosis. The young band that was organized by the association joined the team and added color to their race track with their music. Despite the rainfall as an association of endometriosis and adenomyosis, we thank everybody who has passed the test for about 1800 participants and for the organization which is full of pleasure

Our association of Endometriosis and Adenomyosis conducted a course under The World Congress of Endometriosis in Vancouver, Canada, on May 17-21, 2008.
The moderator was Prof. Dr. Engin Oral. Course program had Dr. Sun Wei Guo, Dr. Besides Marc Laufer and Dr Sanfilippo’s speech who are doing important work around the world in the field of endometriosis, while Yucel Karaman had also contributed the course, the course program attracted great interest from the participants
